IPOD 3000

Jake got a chance to be an inventor. At school, he is in a group call the TLC. This group had a project where they each came up with an invention. Jake's idea was the "iPod 3000." His iPod headset has a speaker on it, and allows the listener to speak the name of the song or artist they want to hear, then the iPod figures it out and plays the song! What a neat idea. Jake had a lot of fun with the project, and really enjoyed showing off his work at the inventor's fair on Friday. Great job Jake!!

Danika also had her last day of school. Here she is with Daddy during free choice time. It was a sad day since school is over for the summer.

So much for spring...

So I thought that "April showers bring May flowers," but apparently in 2008 it brings a whole load of spring snow.

IMG_6321 Last night it started to come down, and it didn't quit until about noon today!

By the time things started melting, we ended up with somewhere around 6-8 inches, and the whole neighborhood was out with snow blowers, shovels and plows.
Thanks to our kind neighbor, we returned home from a quick shopping trip to find our driveway cleared, which Danika took advantage of to ride her tricycle.

Go Danika, Go!

IMG_6326 The backyard was all ready for summer, and we had even set up the fun play cottage.  Thankfully, things are already warming up, and I think within a few days this snow will only be a bad memory!

Here we come Sippy Cup world!

IMG_6313 Here is Eli learning to use a sippy cup.  He was getting the hang of it.  Here Daddy is helping him learn what to do.
IMG_6314 Tavan enjoyed playing with his cup more than anything.  He didn't quite get the hang of drinking from it, but I sure will be eager to try.

6 Months Old!!! Can you believe it???

IMG_6267 Here is Tavan, Smiley as can be!!! He is a very happy baby and loves to smile and giggle.  A good friend of mine thinks that he is going to be a little flirt.  He has two teeth and rolls over to his left.  He loves his sweet potatoes and squash.  Likes is cereal but not as much.  He certainly is a bit bigger than his brother.
IMG_6281 Eli, who was not super impressed with mom taking pictures at this moment.  He is usually just as happy as his older brother.  He loves to giggle and smile too.  He has two teeth and rolls over to his left too.  He LOVES all of his food.  We wonder if he actually tastes it!
